Prayer Requests - Please pray with us especially in this season!

Picture
Please pray for us:
  • Please pray for the Gospel of Matthew translation: We were able to get 4 Tami men to Ukarumpa to do some checking of the Gospel of Matthew! Thank the Lord that He might use the Word in a mighty way in their lives after they spent 8 hours everyday in Matthew. They were here for about three weeks until November 11th.
  • Please be lifting up the entire Ukarumpa community during this time! There is much damage and trauma recovery needed post-earthquake!
  • Pray for our PNG friends and neighbors who also experienced much loss. Praise the Lord with us for the good progress made on the translation checking in these past few months.
  • Each house here at Ukarumpa depends on the rain to gather drinking water from the roof into large water tanks. Many of those tanks were damaged or destroyed... All of us collectively on the center have a separate water system that draws water from the local river which we use for shower, toilet, and washing clothes – this water is NOT safe to drink... Please pray no gastrointestinal issues will crop up.
  • The fiber optic cable that ran from PNG under the ocean all the way to Sydney, Australia, was damaged by the earthquake... This has had a major impact on our internet capabilities now, of course...Please pray we can work effectively.
  • We are on a waiting list to have the construction department come to evaluate our house.
Please thank the Lord with us for the following:
  • Most of the other rooms (besides the kitchen) were also a mess but had very little breakage, thankfully.
  • We thank God that our water tank did not suffer any damage.
  • We’re thankful, in fact, that we are NOT very high on th(e) particular list (of houses needing urgent repair.
  • Please pray for wisdom as we prioritize the numerous repairs needing to be done both for our house at Ukarumpa and in the village.
